The School
The School of Mathematics (Zhuhai) at Sun Yat-sen University was established in 2005. Shortly after that the School has already been recognized as one of the fastest growing and the most distinguished units in the university. With over 25 regular faculty members representing a broad range of fields of pioneer research including algebraic geometry, applied mathematics, commutative algebra, complex geometry, differential equations, differential geometry, ergodic theory, mathematical physics, numerical analysis, and number theory etc., along with over 20 research fellows and post-doctoral scholars, over 40 graduate students, and over 600 undergraduate majors, the School of Mathematics (Zhuhai) has become one of the most popular locations for studying mathematics for students and research scholars from all over China. The School is ranked #__ in the nation, by the National Bureau of Education.
Location
Offices of the School are located on the third and fourth floors of Haiqin Hall NO.2 in the east of the Zhuhai campus with a great sea view. The School has excellent facilities for a thriving mathematical community, and these include more than 70 fully furnished faculty offices, 2 common rooms of over 60 square meters, 4 classrooms designed for graduate mathematics instruction, 4 seminar rooms, and 2 spacious conference rooms.
