报告摘要 Abstract:

In the study of representations of Lie type groups and Weyl groups, two crucial geometric constructions are Deligne--Lusztig varieties and Springer fibres. In this talk, I would like to give an introduction to these objects in a minimal-background-required manner. If times permits, I will also report a recent work on a direct geometric link between them.
