报告摘要 Abstract:

In my talk I will explain an interesting generalization of a very classical topic: Oscillation of solutions of second order linear o.d.e. As well-known, in the classical setting, some coefficient functions involved in the equations are supposed to be positive in order to make the solutions oscillate. We try to remove this restriction by estimating the number of zeros of the solutions. This is joint work with Tianyue Zhang.

报告人简介：

杨家忠，北京大学数学科学学院教授、博士生导师，于1997年获得以色列理工学院博士学位，研究领域为常微分方程和动力系统，主持多项国家自然基金、国际合作、北京市自然科学基金等科研项目。在J.D.E, Duke Math J., J.D.D.E, Nonlinearity等杂志发表四十多篇学术论文。多年从事数学基础课和专业基础课的教学，被评为北京大学最受学生欢迎的十佳教师，优秀教师，优秀教学成果奖。现任北京数学会秘书长。
