报告摘要 Abstract:
We will present some characterization for the essential self-adjointness of the Laplacian on weighted birth-death chains and star-like graphs. These characterizations involve the edge weights and vertex measure as well as a notion of capacity. We will also present some connections to the existence of harmonic functions which are square summable.This is based on joint work with Atsushi Inoue, Sean Ku and Jun Masamune.

报告人简介:
Radoslaw Wojciechowski is a Professor at York College and Doctoral Faculty at the Graduate Center, both of the City University of New York. He has published on the geometric analysis on graphs and manifolds, with a focus on spectral theory and the heat equation, including the textbook "Graphs and discrete Dirichlet spaces" written collaboratively with Matthias Keller and Daniel Lenz. His work is funded by the National Science Foundation and the Simons Foundation.
