报告摘要 Abstract:
I will provide an overview of power semigroups/monoids, a topic that has gained increasing attention in recent years due to its intriguing connections with other areas of mathematics (especially algebra and additive combinatorics). After reviewing fundamental concepts and key properties, I will shift the focus to some of the most compelling open problems in the field. In particular, I will outline the proof of a recent result by my student Kerou Wen and myself --- that the automorphism group of the finitary power monoid of the additive group of integers (i.e., the monoid obtained by endowing the non-empty finite subsets of the integers with the induced operation of setwise addition) is isomorphic to the direct product of the cyclic group of order 2 by the infinite dihedral group.

Salvatore Tringali，河北师范大学数学科学学院教授，博士生导师。Tringali教授获得过法国Université de Lyon (Campus Jean Monnet)的数学博士学位和意大利Università Mediterranea的电子工程博士学位，并于南开大学，法国Ecole Polytechnique，奥地利Graz大学，Texas A&M University at Doha等单位从事博士后研究或访问。Tringali教授主要的研究兴趣集中在代数，组合与数论的一些交叉问题，他已经在Math. Proc. Cambridge Phil. Soc., Proc. Amer. Math. Soc., J. Comb. Theory Ser. A, J. Algebra, Pacif. J. Math., and Israel J. Math等杂志发表了多篇论文。
