报告摘要 Abstract: 

Poincare conjectured that a typical area-preserving diffeomorphism on a compact surface has a dense set of periodic orbits. This is part of the so-called C^r closing lemma problem, and it remains open for over a hundred years. In this talk, we will discuss some remarkable recent progress on this problem, arising from a class of topological invariants from contact geometry and symplectic geometry.
