On the small Davenport constant for finite groups

报告摘要 Abstract:

Let  be a finite group. The small Davenport constant  is the maximal integer  such that there is a sequence over  of length  which has no nontrivial product-one subsequence. In this talk, we will introduce some recent results on the upper bound of small Davenport constant for finite groups. We confirm a conjecture of Gao, Li and Peng that  holds for any finite non-cyclic group, where  is the smallest prime divisor of . Moreover, we proved that if  is non-cyclic, then the equality holds if and only if  has a cyclic subgroup of index .

报告人简介：

瞿勇科，洛阳师范学院副教授。本科毕业于电子科技大学。博士毕业于南开大学组合数学中心，师从高维东教授。主要从事组合数论领域零和理论的研究，在J. Combin. Theory Ser. A, Acta Arith., Discrete Math., J. Math. Anal. Appl., Int. J. Number Theory, Colloq. Math., The Electron. J. Combin. 等期刊发表学术论文二十余篇，主持完成国家自然科学青年基金及天元基金项目各一项，主持完成国家留学基金委公派访问学者项目一项，主持河南省高等学校青年骨干教师项目及重点科研项目各一项。
