报告摘要 Abstract: 
This talk introduces W-algebras as generalizations of the Virasoro algebra. The Virasoro algebra is a central extension of the Witt algebra, which describes infinitesimal conformal transformations, and it admits a realization as the Virasoro vertex algebra generated by a single field of conformal weight 2. Motivated by the inclusion of additional fields of higher conformal weight, quantum W-algebras are constructed via the BRST complex and quantum Drinfeld–Sokolov reduction, which realize these algebras as BRST cohomology of affine vertex algebras. The final part outlines quantum W-algebras of classical type and indicates directions toward families of interest in types B and D.

李乔:本科毕业于贵州大学电气工程学院自动化专业,随后在南京航空航天大学自动化系获得硕士学位,并于丹佛大学工程及计算机科学学院取得电气及计算机工程博士学位。目前在丹佛大学数学系跟随 Andrew Linshaw 教授攻读基础数学博士学位,研究方向聚焦于顶点代数与 W-algebra 相关问题。
